Nash H-Gun Stongbow Bivvy (T4580)

Nash H Gun Strongbow Bivvy

As carp anglers, we are a fussy lot when it comes to tackle and everyone has their preferences for certain makes, models and styles of various types of equipment. However one area where there seems to be a plethora of variety on offer is the realm of the bivvy/shelter and Nash Tackle have built quite a reputation for their innovation within this sphere of development.

Best known for their awesome Titan bivvy, Nash have always been keen to innovate with their concepts or indeed develop existing products to make them better and with their latest bivvy range fast gaining a good reputation for quality and price point, they have stepped up to the plate once more with the introduction of a flexi-pole bivvy; the Strongbow. This is a very compact unit when folded and the assembly is childishly simple.

I initially thought that its rigidity would be compromised with its 5-piece flexi poles but I found the opposite to be the case. When set up and pegged down, it is remarkably stable and it defies physics as it remains tensioned to a high degree, such is the cut of the material and positioning of the three flexi ribs.

It is very roomy inside and comes with mesh windows with fully zipped and Velcroed storm flaps. The door has a clear window which also has the same arrangement for the storm flaps and it also features rear vents to allow the flow of air in the warmer months, whilst keeping the mozzies out! There is the option of an additional heavy duty groundsheet which clips into place and also there is an additional winter skin to offer you the versatility of an all year round shelter system.

This is truly a superb bit of kit and its versatility means that the budget conscious angler can at last have a great shelter which will stand the test of time.
